iugu joins IBIA’s Payment Forum and reinforces its commitment to integrity in the sports betting market

Brazilian company attains membership of the Payment Provider Forum and expands operations in the regulated betting sector

15 October 2025: iugu, a Brazilian technology company specializing in financial infrastructure, announced its entry into the Payment Provider Forum, an initiative of the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), the global entity leading actions for integrity and transparency in the sports betting sector. The initiative was created with the explicit goal of protecting the betting market from financial fraud related to competition manipulation. The Forum brings together payment companies that commit, through a Declaration of Commitment and Participation, to adopt good practices in integrity, transparency and monitoring.

Joining the Forum represents a milestone for iugu, as it reinforces the company's commitment to governance and compliance, and consolidates its position as a reliable partner in a sector that is gaining increasing relevance in Brazil and worldwide.

According to the Secretariat for Prizes and Betting (SPA) of the Ministry of Finance, 17.7 million Brazilians placed bets on websites and apps in the first half of 2025. This number highlights the strength of the industry and reinforces the relevance of international governance initiatives, such as those led by IBIA, which contribute to broadening the credibility, transparency, and security of the entire ecosystem.

The partnership also positions iugu to play a larger role in shaping the global iGaming agenda. Together with other national and international players, the company is committed to fostering a sustainable market built on transparency, clear regulation, and innovation. Forum Membership includes the use of a newly designed IBIA Payment Provider Forum kitemark.
